Interreg ALCOTRA programme launches call to join Youth Council

Call for applications to join the Interreg France-Italy ALCOTRA programme’s Youth Council remains open until 31 May 2023

The Interreg ALCOTRA programme has decided to involve young people more closely in building cross-border cooperation between France and Italy.  The ALCOTRA Youth Council has a consultative role with regard to the Monitoring Committee of the programme and was instituted on 8 July 2022.  This is very much in line with the partnership principle which values the contribution of citizens to the planning and implementation of Interreg cooperation programmes.  The Youth Council also represents a fulfilment of the manifesto for young people, designed to involve young people in shaping European cooperation policy.

As a young advisor, aged between 18 and 30 at time of application, you will have the opportunity to communicate your ideas and views on the main socio-environmental issues in the ALCOTRA programme area.  Participation in the Youth Council is for a period of one year, renewable by one year.

The ALCOTRA Youth Council comprises 10 to 19 members with a maximum of 2 young people for each of the following territories: Haute-Savoie, Savoie, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes de Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Cuneo province, Imperia province, the city of Turin and the autonomous region of Val d’aosta.  One advisor can come from outside these territories.

Successful applicants will contribute to the work of the Interreg France-Italy ALCOTRA 2021-2027 programme and actively participate in the Monitoring Committee of the programme.  They will follow project developments and make proposals for improvements and choose projects which respect the ALCOTRA youth label.  The successful applicants will also help to communicate new calls for project proposals and participate in programme communication events.
