European Regional Competitiveness Policy Lab – call for volunteers

The goal of this call is to identify future partners amongst managing authorities and intermediate bodies from interested EU member states and accession countries.

We are looking for managing authorities or intermediate bodies that are currently responsible for providing funding to companies (for example support to company creation, business expansion, business reconversion).

Throughout 2025 the World Bank will offer the opportunity to learn more about the plans and methods employed in this collaboration, ask questions, and express interest in collaborating. The EuroCOMP Lab will provide technical assistance for better programming and support the design of outreach and targeting strategies.

A key focus will be on randomized controlled trial type of studies which evaluate alternative mechanisms of project administration and delivery in cohesion policy programs. These alternative models include new targeting methods, selection processes, and improvements in program implementation processes. The purpose is to increase participation, speed of implementation or speed of disbursement in the selected programs.
