The Swiss Presidency organizes the 8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) as an important moment to share, confirm and celebrate EUSALP achievements in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland on Thursday. EUSALP is a European strategy for the Alpine territory joining human passions, natural resources and economic assets, linking cities, plains, valleys and mountains to find solutions to challenges we can solve only together.

Participants include Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor, the head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) of the Republic of Switzerland, Markus Dieth, President of the Conference of Cantonal Governments and State Councillor Canton of Aargau of the Republic of Switzerland and Marko Štucin, State Secretary for European affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia. Workshop sessions will promote digitalisation and a Joint Water Management Transition for the Alps, accelerate the Energy Transition for a Carbon-Neutral Alpine Region and boost circular economy.
As its main objective, the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region aims to ensure that this region remains one of the most attractive areas in Europe, taking better advantage of its assets and seizing its opportunities for sustainable and innovative development in a European context. This Strategy concerns 7 Countries, of which 5 EU Member States (Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Slovenia) and 2 non-EU countries (Liechtenstein and Switzerland), and 48 Regions.
