€10.9 million in EU aid for flood damage in Czech Republic

Commissioner Johannes Hahn confirmed the Commission's proposal to allocate aid totalling €10.9 million to the Czech Republic, following the severe floods of August 2010. The grant is being made available through the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF). It will contribute towards the costs borne by public authorities in response to the emergency, in particular for restoring essential infrastructure.
