Register now for the 10th Just Transition Platform Conference!

This event, celebrating its 10th edition, will be co-hosted by DG REGIO and DG ENER. It will provide a forum for sharing views and experiences on the just transition process to stakeholders from national, local and regional authorities as well as economic and social partners, the wider society and representatives from the European Commission; among them Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, and Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson (tbc).

*Registrations for in-person attendance will close on 24 September. Due to the limited capacity of the venue, final confirmation of in-person participation is subject to approval. Registration for online participation will remain open beyond this date.

About the event

The core sessions of the conference on 15 and 16 October will facilitate exchange between stakeholders on the journey of a just transition towards a climate-neutral Europe.

The event will include high-level discussions on resources and inspirational examples of just transition, and it will feature an exhibition of Just Transition Mechanism (JTM) projects providing good practice examples in harnessing the financing opportunities offered by the JTM (see next section for more details).

Furthermore, specific sessions will address various topics such as:

• advisory tools available for just transition regions, 
• how the process of just transition can boost competitiveness, 
• how to benefit from the Public Sector Loan Facility, third pillar of the Just Transition Mechanism,
• international examples of female entrepreneurship in regions in transition
• rehabilitation and repurposing of sites after coal phase-out

How to participate in the projects exhibition

If you are interested in showcasing your JTM project at October’s JTP Conference, there is still time to apply.

To mark the 10th edition, there will be an Exhibition of Just Transition Mechanism projects with Commissioner Ferreira and Commissioner Simson, with projects to be presented to the whole JTP Community at the start of the Conference.

The exhibition will celebrate the achievements of the JTM, in particular the Just Transition Fund (JTF) and showcasing the impact of its projects on the ground.

We invite all JTM projects to apply to present your achievements and groundbreaking ideas. This will be a great opportunity to promote your project in the international scene of the JTP community and celebrate the 10th edition of the conference!

All projects are encouraged to apply to the call, whether you are an established project already being implemented, a project with innovative ideas at a very early stage of implementation, or one that has not yet started implementation but has been selected to receive funding from the JTM.

Following an extension to the deadline, applications must be submitted via this EUSurvey questionnaire by 13 September 2024, 23:00 CET.
