Did you know that Nikola Tesla received his only formal education in the City of Karlovac?

On Monday, 8th May 2023, in a celebration of scientific genius and innovation, the Nikola Tesla Experience Center officially opened its doors in the historic city of Karlovac in Croatia. The center is situated near the Karlovac Grammar School building, which the renowned inventor attended and graduated from 150 years ago. The center promises to take visitors on an immersive journey through the life and accomplishments of one of the world's greatest inventors, Nikola Tesla.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, who was present at the opening, emphasized that the center combines a museum, innovation, entrepreneurship, and tourism, providing young people with an attractive opportunity to acquire knowledge about Tesla.
"We truly grasp the full dimension of his innovativeness in the era of the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformation," stated Plenković.
The Nikola Tesla Experience Center and supporting infrastructure spans over 800 square meters and features state-of-the-art exhibits, interactive displays, and engaging multimedia presentations. Visitors will have the opportunity to delve into Tesla's groundbreaking inventions, his visionary concepts, and the impact his work has had on modern technology.
In that context, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has played a significant role in supporting the realisation of this project, by ensuring more than EUR 3 million out of the total value of EUR 5,25 million.
