In Madrid, the Executive Vice-President will meet with the First Vice-President of the government and Minister of Finance, Maria Jesús Montero, and the Minister of Economy, Carlos Cuerpo. Executive Vice-President Fitto will also meet with the President of the Region of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida and the representatives of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) to discuss how cohesion policy is supporting the regions and the cities.

On Thursday 8 May, the Executive Vice-President will visit Valencia and the areas affected by the devastating floods of October 2024. He will meet with the President of the Region, Carlos Mazόn, and the mayor of the city of Valencia, María José Catalá.
