The 10th edition of the Just Transition Platform Conference will take place in Brussels and online on 15-17 October 2024.
This event, celebrating its 10th edition, will be co-hosted by DG REGIO and DG ENER. It will provide a forum for sharing views and experiences on the just transition process to stakeholders from national, local and regional authorities as well as economic and social partners, the wider society and representatives from the European Commission; among them Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira.

The core sessions of the conference on 15 and 16 October will facilitate exchange between stakeholders on the journey of a just transition towards a climate-neutral Europe.
The event will include high-level discussions on resources and inspirational examples of just transition, and it will feature an exhibition of Just Transition Mechanism (JTM) projects providing good practice examples in harnessing the financing opportunities offered by the JTM.
Furthermore, specific sessions will address various topics such as:
- advisory tools available for Just Transition regions,
- how Just Transition boosts competitiveness,
- how to benefit from the Public Sector Loan Facility, third pillar of the Just Transition Mechanism,
- international examples of female entrepreneurship in regions in transition,
- rehabilitation and repurposing of sites after coal phase-out.

*Registrations for in-person attendance will close on 24 September. Due to the limited capacity of the venue, final confirmation of in-person participation is subject to approval.
