Construction of a new gas pipeline in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Mazowieckie provinces of Poland will allow a greater volume of gas delivery to businesses, public institutions and private customers.

The pipeline, built between the villages of Rembelszczyzna and Gustorzyn, will become the main system enabling the development of energy transmission in Central and North-East Poland. The project will be developed in three stages: the Gustorzyn-Płock section (63 km), with the construction of the Płock hub and the expansion of the Gustorzyn hub; the Rembelszczyzna-Płońsk section (63 km), along with the construction of the Płońsk hub and the expansion of the Rembelszczyzna hub; and the 50 km-long Płock-Płońsk section.
Overall, the new pipeline will be 176 km long. This project will allow the transmission of additional volumes of gas injected in the network from the expanded underground gas storage facilities in Mogilno and Wierzchowice, as well as from new entry points, such as the planned LNG terminal in Swinoujscie.
Total investment and EU funding
Total investment for the project “Gas pipeline Rembelszczyzna – Gustorzyn” is EUR 168 227 806, of which the EU’s European Regional Development Fund is contributing EUR 53 859 047 from the Operational Programme “Infrastructure and Environment” for the 2007 to 2013 programming period. Work falls under priority axis “Energy security including diversification of energy supply”.
