The purpose of this report is to synthesise the contents of the national reports on the performance of Cohesion policy so far over the programming period 2007-2013 and to bring out the main points which emerge from these. The focus, on the one hand, is on the implementation of the programmes agreed at the beginning of the period and on what has been achieved from the expenditure carried out so far – or, more precisely up to the end of 2009, which is the period covered by the latest Annual Implement Reports submitted in mid-2010. On the other, it is on the way in which programmes are being evaluated or in whichMember States plan to carry out evaluations as the projects funded under Cohesion Policy are completed.
