Programme description
The programme aims to increase innovation and help the region implement the green transition and digital economy. The region lags behind others in Romania in social services, labour productivity, employment, investments and individual income.
Hence, it is important to support a more competitive region through innovation, digitalisation, and support for innovative start-ups and entrepreneurship. In addition, the programme will invest in:
- the energy efficiency of public and residential buildings, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing green infrastructure, and developing climate-resilient urban spaces for citizens;
- promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility and improving road safety;
- improving equal access to quality and inclusive education and investing in training and lifelong learning.
