Programme description
The programme addresses the technological and climate challenges and their impact on competitiveness, as well as economic, social and environmental sustainability in South Tyrol. The actions supported are divided into three priorities: driving technological change (smart), tackling climate change (green) and making mobility sustainable (mobility).
Specifically for research, innovation and development, support will be provided to projects in the fields of smart specialisation (RIS3), high quality research infrastructures, innovation clusters and community spaces for innovation.
Digitalisation focuses on integrated and interoperable infrastructures and e-government services for citizens and businesses.
In the energy sector, the energy efficiency of public buildings and the construction of district heating and cooling networks will be promoted.
Risk prevention is done by securing and strengthening the resilience of the areas most vulnerable to hydraulic, hydrogeological and avalanche risks, and by modernising the region’s warning and alarm system.
In the area of mobility, the programme will fund digital solutions, cycling infrastructure and low-emission public transport.
