Programme description
The Programme represents an unprecedented investment to accompany Emilia-Romagna in the twin green and digital transitions. The objective is to relaunch an economic growth that combines quality of work, increased productivity, technological, environmental and social innovation, attractiveness and international openness, helping to reduce inequalities of all kinds and supporting local and regional leadership and participation.
At the heart of the programme’s strategy – involving businesses, local authorities, the third sector, all communities and territories – is the renewed role of the regional research and innovation ecosystem in implementing the Smart specialization Strategy.
The fight against climate change is one of the major challenges that is mainstreamed across the activities of the Programme, together with the key role of the younger generation and the fight against gender inequalities, in order to build a new vision for the future, with the full participation of all parts of society.
