Programme description
The programme aims to support the economic, demographic, digital, environmental and energy transitions of the region and its citizens.
Through the cohesion funds, the EU supports the region to strengthen regional innovation capacities and digital uses. It also helps small and medium enterprises to become stronger and innovative in order to create better quality jobs and be more prepared to compete within a global market.
The programme will highly support European Climate ambition by cutting energy emissions, promoting sustainable urban mobility, protecting biodiversity and water quality and developing renewable energy.
It also addresses the negative effects of the territory's transition to carbon neutrality by supporting the affected businesses and workers.
Moreover, the programme seeks to improve employment access for all, in particular for young people, promote vocational training as well as to improve access to social and health care services.
Finally, it is designed to better answer to citizens’ needs, through a participative mechanism at local level, which aims to tackle territorial fractures and to allow access to basic services for all.
