(Interreg VI-A) Germany/Bavaria-Czechia

Programme description

The programme addresses the most important cross-border cooperation challenges along the Bavaria-Czechia border, in line with the five policy objectives and the Interreg-specific objective of cohesion policy 2021-2027. The programme focuses on five priorities. These are divided into a further seven specific objectives. Within this framework, the programme supports cross-border cooperation between public institutions, the private sector and civil society.

Strategically, the programme promotes the better integration of research and development capacities and technology transfer on both sides of the border, to exploit the region’s economic potential. It simultaneously addresses environmental issues, in particular biodiversity and climate change. It will also protect and promote cultural heritage and tourism and intensify investment in cross-border education and training.

Projects will be complemented by closer legal and administrative cooperation and people-to people actions to increase trust, to create an integrated border region.
