Programme description
Main objectives
The main objective of the Operational Programme (OP) for Lubelskie region 2014-2020 is to increase the competitiveness of the region in order to foster social and territorial cohesion. The OP will contribute to achieving the Europe 2020 targets for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth primarily by boosting economic growth and the productivity of SMEs.
Funding priorities
The Programme will implement 10 thematic objectives and will in particular focus on the following main priorities:
- Research & innovation and competitiveness of SMEs
- Digital development of the region
- Environmentally friendly energy and energy efficiency
- Protection of environment and effective use of resources
- Protection of cultural and natural heritage
- Regional mobility and ecological transport
- Social infrastructure
- Labour market and adaptation of enterprises and employees to changes
- Education, qualifications and competences
- Social inclusion through the promotion of good-quality, sustainable social and health services, equal opportunities for all and greater participation in and access to the job market
Expected impacts
- Increased share of innovative enterprises in the total number of industrial enterprises and the service sector from 13,6% to 29%;
- Increased share of electricity production from renewable energy sources in total electricity production from 1,5% to 5,6%;
- Increased number of passengers in public urban transport from 126,1 to 202,5 million;
- Construction of 409 km of sanitary sewage system and 323 km of water supply network
- Increased percentage of children aged 3-4 years covered by pre-school education from 61,4% to 78%
- Support for more than 20 000 of unemployed inhabitants of the region
