ROP PA Bolzano ESF
Programme description
ESF funding in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano supports employment for women and disadvantaged groups to promote social inclusion and growth
The ESF operational programme (OP) 2014-2020 for the Autonomous Province of Bolzano in Italy supports key EU and Italian priorities, focusing on social inclusion and sustainable growth through employment, education and training. Worth EUR 136.6 million, the OP will receive 50% of its funding from the EU budget.
Priorities for the OP are as follows:
- 28 % of the OP resources are allocated to support access to employment. This includes measures that improve the employability in particular of long-term unemployed, women, or young people, promote active and healthy ageing, and modernise the public employment services.
- 20% of the OP budget will be dedicated to promoting active inclusion and fighting poverty through actions addressed to disadvantaged people.
- 45 % of the OP resources are allocated to reduce and prevent early school leaving and improve the transition between education and work. The programme will also fund initiatives to strengthen vocational and education systems, including dual-system schemes.
It is expected that in total the programme will assist almost 5 000 unemployed people in gaining access to work, help 1 350 disadvantaged people, and provide training to 17 400 inactive people.
