Programme description
Strategic objectives
The cooperation programme addresses significant cross-border challenges linked to the implementation of the Europe 2020 strategy in the area around the border between France and Switzerland. Firstly, the programme aims to increase and organise cooperation in innovation, and to boost the transfer of research to businesses. Secondly, it will help to maintain and reinstate weakened ecosystems and to put in place new sustainable land use bodies. As far as mobility is concerned, it aims to increase the use of sustainable transport for cross-border travel, and thus to improve access to the regions. In addition, it will support the development of local services and boost access to labour markets, with the aim of boosting the economy.

The programme is divided into three areas:

- 14 new businesses taking part in research projects
- increasing the use of innovation to produce specific applications on the ground
- increasing the number of travellers using sustainable transport
- increasing the number of coordinated land-use planning initiatives
- 20 km of modernised railway lines
