Regional programme Rhône Alpes 2014-2020

Programme description

Main objectives

The ERDF-ESF Programme "Rhône-Alpes" aims to boost economic growth in the region) and contributes to achieving the Europe 2020 targets for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. It should create jobs and boost productivity, particularly in SMEs. About 30% of the budget will be allocated to the adaptation to climate change and more than 10% of the ERDF budget will be allocated to urban areas.

 

Funding priorities

The Programme will focus on following main priorities:

  • Increase research and innovation in RIS3 (smart specialisation strategy) sectors
  • Strengthen very high speed network deployment and access to ICTs for SMEs, health services and education
  • Improve the creation of SMEs and their competitiveness
  • Enhance renewable energy production, energy efficiency in housing and tertiary buildings and sustainable multimodal mobility
  • Preserve blue and green corridors
  • Increase of brownfields' depollution
  • Promote sustainable and quality jobs and support labour forces
  • Invest in education, training and professional training to acquire skills and develop lifelong learning

 

Expected impacts

  • Increase in the regional rate of investments in R&D and innovation by 15% from 2010 to 2020 (3.08% to 3.57%)
  • Increase in the rate of enterprises' creation up to 15%
  • Increase up to 80% in the number of enterprises connected to very high speed network outside areas managed by private operators
  • Reduce GHG emissions by 3 million teq CO2
  • Increase in the production of renewable energies with additional 35 MW
  • increase in the energy efficiency in housing for the benefit of 6120 households
  • Increase in the surface of depolluted brownfields by an additional 80 ha
  • increase in the biotopes in a better condition with 7500 additional ha
  • Increase in the number of professionally accompanied workers (+ 6500) to broaden their skills and employability
  • Increase in the number of unemployed people completing a training programme (+42800)
