Interreg V-A - Germany-Denmark

Programme description

Main objectives

The cooperation programme addresses the most important cross-border challenges which are linked to the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy in the German-Danish border region. Strategically, the programme will promote cross-border innovation, sustainable development, as well as the development of the labour market, employment and training. Actions in these three main priorities will be complemented by efforts to foster closer functional co-operation to contribute to the creation of a fully integrated border region.

In order to achieve these strategic objectives, the programme aims at increasing product, process and social innovation in the strength positions of the programme area: environment and clean tech, health, maritime industry, food industry, tourism as well as mobility and logistics. The programme is designed to promote tourism and more sustainable use of resources and energy in companies. It will also improve cross-border labour mobility and increase integration in the education sector.
