Programme description
Strategic objectives
The cooperation programme addresses significant cross-border challenges relating to the implementation of the Europe 2020 strategy in the French-Belgian border regions. This project aims, firstly, to improve collaboration and the transfer of technology between universities, research centres and businesses, and to increase the competitiveness of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) in order to strengthen strategic cross-border regions. Secondly, it aims to preserve and promote both natural and cultural cross-border heritage sites, and to strengthen cooperation on flood risk management. In terms of employment, it aims to boost cross-border mobility for workers. Finally, the project aims to strengthen and make sustainable the networking and supply of cross-border health services.
