New technology helps Polish metal processing company keep its competitive edge

  • 04 October 2019

Thanks to EU-funding, Lodzkie-based precision metal parts manufacturer Schraner Polska has updated its production technology and introduced a new range of products to the international market.

This project aimed to increase the competitiveness and strengthen our innovation capacity within Schraner Polska's particular market, through the purchase and implementation of innovative production technology and the introduction to foreign markets of a new range of forged parts for lifting mechanisms.

To keep its competitive edge in an increasingly competitive market, Schraner Polska needed to overhaul its production technology. Thanks to the support of EU-funding, the company was able to purchase the latest equipment, which has allowed it to introduce an entirely new range of state-of-the-art forged crane products to the global market.

State-of-the-art technology

As a sister company of the Swiss Schraner Metals AG, Schraner Polska made use of Swiss technology and experience to provide an unprecedented degree of precision in its Polish products. This includes the use of Lasco hydraulic hammers to produce forgings weighing from just several grams up to 3.5 kg.

The company’s machinery park in Łęczyca is now configured with the very best equipment, ensuring reliable operations and the production of high-quality products. Schraner Polska’s in-house laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art measuring and testing devices from the likes of Magnaflux, Emco-Test, Werth, and Tesa. The company runs its own tool shop, a key factor in being able to quickly produce test batches of a new product.
