An innovative EU funded flood warning system from Croatia.

Thanks to a European project, the company GDI has developed an app called “GDI Ensemble Floodsmart” for regions in Croatia threatened by floods. A person in a flood area can determine his location on his mobile phone and get information about where he or she should go in case of evacuation. Users can also participate in the collection of data about the flood by sending to the flood equipment centre a picture and description of what they have seen on the ground.
