The EU Strategy for the Alpine Region sets up a new Technical Support Structure in Nice and Milan

The EUSALP partners have signed an agreement for a Technical Support Structure (TSS) for the operational implementation of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP). The TSS will be led by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, with the collaboration of the French State, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and the Lombardy Region. The TSS will be based in Nice with a secondary office in Milan.

Improving the governance of the EUSALP is one of the main objectives of the strategy, in order to make cooperation more efficient and closer to alpine inhabitants needs.

After the EUSALP Youth Council, the TSS is will be the main contact point between the EUSALP decision makers, the EUSALP key implementers and the civil society. DG REGIO provides funding for the first year of implementation.

New colleagues in Nice and Milan will bring support to the governance bodies, like the annual presidency; the delegations composing the Executive Board, the General Assembly and the Actions Groups.

They will also enhance communication activities towards larger audience. Finally, they will also animate the networks of Managing Authorities on EUSALP thematic priorities in order to make the embedding process happen.
