New Interreg branding for the 2021-2027 period

Discover the new design for 2021-2027 Interreg programmes!

Commissioner Ferreira unveiled the new branding for Interreg programmes during the Interreg Annual Event on 07 October in Brussels. Foreseen by the Common Provisions Regulation and fruit of discussions that began in 2018, the new branding aims to create a universal Interreg brand that is easily recognisable for citizens and stakeholders alike. For the first time, the branding will also include Interreg IPA and NEXT programs.

The introduction of the unique Interreg branding also highlights the unique spatial cross-border transnational and interregional nature of the projects and programs. Therefore, the branding will apply to all communication material including plaques and websites. In addition, sanctions are foreseen by the Regulation in case the branding is not adequately displayed.

The European Commission proposes a basic branding that is already available here on the Interact website. However, individual programs can also add their names. This allows displaying the specific geographies where Interreg, Interreg IPA and Interreg NEXT are implementing projects, while also mainstreaming the Interreg brand across programs. Already 67 programs have adopted their individual brand!
