The European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy is seeking, for the fifth time in a row, proposals for editorially independent reporting on cohesion policy.

The total budget of this call for proposals is EUR 7 million. Grants are up to EUR 300 000 for each winning project, to cover max 80% of eligible costs.
Eligible applicants include media, universities, communication agencies and other private entities and public bodies (with the exception of managing authorities and intermediate bodies). The deadline for applications is 11 January 2022.

Background
The call follows a similar call launched last year, which attracted 200 applications. At the end of the evaluation period 28 beneficiaries were selected to implement communication actions in more than 18 EU Member States. The names of the beneficiaries of the latest call are published online.
With 4 calls for proposals published every year since 2017 and a total budget of EUR 18.8 million, DG REGIO has so far supported the communication actions of 99 media and other entities. Examples of communication actions of previous beneficiaries can be found on this interactive map.
