Have you ever heard of a two-years cross-border cooperation project saving hundreds lives? Well, let’s talk about it.
Water is the most precious resource human could dream of. Unfortunately, we tend to take it for granted and don’t consider the true dangers. Water is limited, polluted and wasted. This project between Latvia and Russia aims at raising awareness among the population.
This project is tackling health matters as well as environments. “Pure water” is a 24-month large infrastructure project with the funds of €3,9 million under the Latvia-Russia CBC programme. It is implemented by two partners from Russia and Latvia, with activities taking part mainly on the Russian side of the border, but for the benefit of the population of the whole area. Once the project is finalised, about 90% of Pskov population is going to profit from an increase of safe and quality drinking water.
Finally, this projects prove cooperation between the Russian and the Latvian partners.
