As many other projects which have received EU cohesion policy support, also the so-called “FabLab” of TRAKK, the Innovative City Lab in Namur, Belgium, is developing solutions to help fighting coronavirus, and especially a functional prototype at a lower cost in order to make it available in open source.
Namur developers are producing a syringe pump to inject the right dose of medication at a very precise speed. This will help hospitals as they start to have shortages of syringes because of their high demand for COVID-19 treatment.
Many SMEs have already expressed interest in officially producing the device once the prototype has been completed.
