Greece: Kalamata Airport to be expanded

Kalamata International Airport, in southern Greece, is being expanded and its voice communication system upgraded, via an ERDF-funded project. The project will include adding more parking bays for aircraft, expanding the terminal building and surrounding area and moving the fuel depot. In addition, a Voice Communication and Recording System to serve the needs of Air Traffic Services will be installed. This is being done to fulfil the requirement of having duplicate voice recording systems.
