Title: Von gestern und heute - wie wird Geschichte erzählt? Die Erinnerungskultur an faschistische Regime in Europa
Summary
Through the analysis, deconstruction and discussion of different social, political, national and international forms of memory culture of fascist regimes in different European countries, an understanding of the European Union, its history and its diversity is conveyed. Each partner organization sends interested people to the workshops in the host country, thus creating an international group that learns together about both the past and the present of the participating organizations and their home countries. The workshops also look at the role of the opposition, the treatment of minorities and the opening up of alternative identities and ways of life within fascist regimes. In these workshops, cultural similarities and differences are explored, historical narratives are analysed and, on the basis of this, sensitivities or aggressions towards victims, heroes and perpetrators of the regimes are recognized and reflected upon.In the participatory workshops, targeted discussion situations are created that offer spaces for open and free dialogue and discussion, so that opinions and views can be heard and reflected upon under the consensus of mutual appreciation. In this way, the diversity of the partner organizations is expressed. This is also reflected in the results of each workshop. Through targeted promotion of the project within the large network of LAG member organizations and international partner organizations, people between the ages of 18-30 are encouraged to participate, with a particular focus on diversity and equal access. Especially, the accompaniment by pedagogical staff is a guarantee for a professional working phase. The classical teaching model is not applied, as especially in the field of education, mental connections can also be made on an emotional level.The project results are specifically incorporated into the work of the respective partner organizations during and after the workshops.
