Title: Balkan Neighbours Together for Better Future
Summary
Series of joint actions exist between Batak, municipality Niška Banja, Pylaia-Cho and Targoviste. Sporadic attempts were made by certain groups and individuals from the municipalities, such as celebration of local holidays from the towns,cultural exchanges, folklore groups, business and tourism forums creating a favorable climate and positive attitude across borders in the EU, however, they haven't been organized in a project yet. The project partners decided to unite by preparing a MEMORANDUM FOR FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION IN TOURISM AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP which areas are defined by consultations with citizens and businesses and analyzed by experts. The main activities and outcomes of the project will be: 1)Disseminating an on-line survey " What kind of Europe citizens want" and capturing video-messages in all the municipalities outlining their long term vision for the future of the European integration; 2) Organising 3-days activities in Batak, including: Project management meeting and space for follow up activities and future cooperation; Official twinning ceremony; Simulation on a scenario “For generations, Europe was always the future”; Interactive game on Challenging Euroscepticism; Culinary Fest; Balkan Folklore Festival; Haydushki Fest; Balkan Business Forum, promotion of Batak heritage.3) Designing a Manual "Good Practices for Entrepreneurship and tourism through the use of Community assets"; 4)Conducting a Digital campaign for the promotion of the project activities/festivals/ and project results. Different interest groups, different generations, young people, public servants and businesses will be involved in all project activities while citizens from the Balkan municipalities of Batak,Bulgaria,Niška Banja,Serbia, Pylaia-Cho,Greece and Targoviste,Romania not involved in any organizations will be reached, too. More than 800 participants will be involved in all project activities and more than 600 indirect participants will be reached as well.
