Summary
You2TellEU is a transnational project that contributes to citizens' understanding of the EU a) developing a new, innovative and easily-replicable model to tell the European common values as a tool for future citizens' engagement; b) analyzing and telling the memories of Eastern Europe immigrants under the communist regimes; c) actively involving 2nd young generation people (2YGp) as co-creators of remembrance and actors of change.You2TellEU involves 320 2YGp all over its phases. 3 participatory Storytelling Lab are organized in 3 EU countries to analyze hystorical content also using Europeana.eu and Archives.eui.eu (EUI, Fiesole). In each Lab, 1 researcher acts as facilitator also training participants on e-storytelling as research tool. 90 interviews with witnesses are developed and shared. 150 2YGp are involved in 3 National Events and 250+ people are involved in 1 European Lab and 1 Event. You2TellEU involves different types of organisations as partner, such as one Association of Local Authorities, one Research Institutes and one NGOs. Each of them add value to the project, thanks to its own expertise and relevance: the applicant has several years of experience managing EU funded projects, the Research Institutes are very known for their valuable research activities all around Europe and Internationally, the NGOs work closely with root organizations. A multi-stakeholder network approach is followed to involve and raise awareness of different target groups. A strategy of dissemination and knowledge transfer is set up to assure full and lasting impacts of the outcomes, to disseminate results among a wider audience and to actively contribute to the overall impact of the Europe for citizens Programme at local, national and European level.You2TellEU is a follow up of several projects, such as IPARTICIPATE, SERTO. It creates also synergies with on-going initiatives, such as the Tuscany Region Immigration Plan 2012-2015 and EU PARTICIPATION MATTERS project.
