Russia’s war in Ukraine, which began almost one year ago, called for a swift, decisive and determined reaction from the European Commission, both in tackling Russia and its allies and in supporting Ukraine. Policies steered by DG TAXUD have played an important role in this crisis response. Nearly 12 months and 10 sanction packages later, we sat down with colleagues from across DG TAXUD to understand their contribution to the effort – what has been done, how it was achieved, and what this work means to them on a personal level.

Standing with Ukraine: How customs and tax policy contributes to the EU response
