The programme is a mix of hands-on training by SCIC colleagues to improve the digital skills of interpreters, as well as presentations on various digital topics by external experts.  Most sessions will take place in a hybrid format, so that you can choose between in-person or online participation, including when teleworking from abroad, which needs to be agreed with your respective HoU.

Cyber Security now (Are you Cyber Aware? + SCIC Ambassadors)
This training course outlines the most common threat vectors that have been identified during the teleworking months. The presentation will open with a simplified introduction of the global cybersecurity threat landscape and the threat actors behind the most common attack techniques. It will then continue with a brief explanation about how the EC is organised and how DIGIT works in order to protect the EC infrastructure and assets. We will spend quite some time seeing and discussing how the main attack techniques are conceived, crafted and tailored: Phishing, Malware and Ransomware attacks, DDoS attacks and BEC (business email compromise). In conclusion, you will receive a series of good practices and advice on how to approach and react if targeted by one of attacks, how to protect yourself both at work and at home and how to keep staying vigilant a whole year round. The session that includes the hacking demonstration will show exactly how a cyber-attack is launched, infects the users and the consequences. The second part is a presentation by our very own SCIC Cybersecurity Ambassadors at 16h30.
