CORRIGENDUM: EU common list of COVID-19 antigen tests updated

Today, the EU Health Security Committee adopted the final update of the EU common list of COVID-19 antigen tests. Nearly 300 COVID-19 antigen tests, meeting strict criteria, have been validated through independent studies, and are now included in the list. This list has allowed citizens to travel during the pandemic while protecting public health: by the end of October 2022, EU Member States had issued nearly 365 million EU Digital COVID certificates based on the results of antigen tests included on the EU common list. To prepare this list, the EU Health Security Committee set up a dedicated technical working group, bringing together experts from the 27 EU countries and Norway, and representatives from EU institutions. In total, more than 1,100 applications were reviewed, and more than 8,400 documents were submitted by manufacturers from around the world, and 23 proposals for updates of the EU common list were submitted to the EU Health Security Committee.
