Why Organ Donation Matters to Us All: EP Conference, 18th February 2019

date:  14/02/2019

The EU-funded project EUDONORGAN will hold its next conference titled Why Organ Donation Matters to Us All on Monday, 18 February in Brussels. The event will be hosted by the European Parliament.

The conference will bring together patients, advocacy groups, leading professionals, transplant agencies, national authorities as well as EU institutions for a unique exchange of views on their common aim: increasing organ donation and transplantation in the EU. The organizers invite journalists interested in organ donation and transplantation to attend the event.

The event will take place at the European Parliament, room A5E-2 from 9:00-13:00 and will include a press conference. It will finish with a short commemoration for organ donors and a visit to the BELDONOR bus on the esplanade of the European Parliament, with the participation of the host of the event, MEP Hilde Vautmans. All journalists are kindly invited.

This is one of six EU-funded awareness raising events being held across the EU to increase interest and support for organ donation among health professionals and the general public.
