The European Commission, in collaboration with the Polish Presidency, is pleased to announce a high-level event:

The European Health Data Space (EHDS) – Unlocking Europe's Health Data Future Together.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 18 March 2025, from 09:00 to 16:00 CET, at Le Plaza Hotel, as well as online.

The event celebrates the formal adoption and publication of the EHDS Regulation, a major milestone in Europe's digital health transformation.

The EHDS will establish a secure and trusted framework for accessing and sharing electronic health data across the EU, fostering innovation, improving healthcare delivery, and creating a single market for digital health services and products.

The conference will feature keynote speeches from Oliver Várhelyi, European Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare, Sandra Gallina Director-General of DG SANTE,

Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Poland’s Undersecretary of State for Health, and Lorena Boix Alonso, Deputy Director-General for Health at DG SANTE, as well as other high-level representatives from the eHealth Network and the Polish Presidency.

Panel discussions will focus on:

  • The benefits of the EHDS for European citizens, ensuring better healthcare through improved data access and sharing;
  • Building trust through strong privacy, security, and transparency measures;
  • Driving innovation and competitiveness, with insights from industry leaders on the future of digital health in Europe.
