International Conference ''Towards Halving Food Waste in Europe'' on 18 and 19 June in the Netherlands

The international conference for companies, and organizations with high ambitions to halve food waste by 2030 will focus on knowledge sharing, key solutions and innovations to prevent and reduce food waste. The 15th meeting of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste will be held on the second day of the conference.

The International Food Waste Coalition updates food waste methodology on measurement for the catering sector

IFWC has released an updated food waste measurement and reporting methodology tailored specifically to the contract catering sector. The methodology aligns with the core principles of the United Nations Environment Programme Food Waste Index.

A calculator was developed and tested by the Joint Research Centre to help practitioners to assess the net economic benefits and net environmental savings of their food waste prevention actions.
