International Conference ''Towards Halving Food Waste in Europe'' on 18 and 19 June in the Netherlands

The international conference for companies, and organizations with high ambitions to halve food waste by 2030 will focus on knowledge sharing, key solutions and innovations to prevent and reduce food waste. The 15th meeting of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste will be held on the second day of the conference.

''Open Food Conference'' on the transition towards sustainable food systems on 11-13 March in Leuven

Afternoon session on 11 March with insights in the Flemish action plan on food losses 2021-2025, and in good practices and challenges for food waste at retail and consumer level.

FOODRUS & CO-FRESH joint final event on 13 and 14 March in Brussels

The two day conference will offer discussions on the final results, innovative solutions, and collaborative efforts of the EU-funded projects FOODRUS and CO-FRESH in shaping the future of food systems.

Webinar ''Defining food loss in the European Union framework: challenges and significance'' on 14 March

The EU-funded project FOLOU will organise a webinar on 14 March to discuss definitions of food losses, addressing grey areas and seeking collaborative solutions.

The International Food Waste Coalition updates food waste methodology on measurement for the catering sector

IFWC has released an updated food waste measurement and reporting methodology tailored specifically to the contract catering sector. The methodology aligns with the core principles of the United Nations Environment Programme Food Waste Index.

Calculate the impacts of your food waste prevention actions

A calculator was developed and tested by the Joint Research Centre to help practitioners to assess the net economic benefits and net environmental savings of their food waste prevention actions.

BREADCRUMB project kick off meeting on 16-17 January

The EU-funded project BREADCRUMB will develop evidence-based solutions to cut food waste in the food chain associated with marketing standards.
