Survey: European consumers' attitudes toward upcycled foods

This survey is conducted by the University of Copenhagen as part of the FOODRUS project. The main objective of this research is to learn more about how European consumers feel about upcycled foods and what prevents them from being consumed. Participate by filling out the questionnaire!

COOP Italy food donation campaign "Buon fine"
Since 2003, COOP Italy has launched a program to support donation of unsold food products. In 2022, COOP Italy provided over 5000 tons of food to 842 associations and charities.

A new paper was published on household food waste in Italy
The paper - published by CREA Food and Nutrition, Council for Agricultural Research and Economics, Research Centre for Food and Nutrition - covers characterization of household food waste in Italy, difference from 2018 to 2021, evaluation of seasonality effects, and evaluation of the gap between intentions and actions.

The Role of Food Manufacturers and Retailers in the Processing of Former Foodstuffs

The webinar took place on 6 June 2023 and focused on how food producers and retailers such as supermarkets can contribute to circular green economy by passing their unsold food to former food processors.

SysOrg project's second international multi-stakeholder Workshop in Copenhagen
The workshop on 23 May 2023 was an exchange space for project partners and stakeholders showing results and discussing how they can be translated into practice with a focus on food waste policies and data. The project aims to investigate how ways to increase sustainable consumption and food production can be successfully designed.
