In March 2021, we celebrated 1 year since the launch of the Platform’s newsletter! The goal of the newsletter is to disseminate information about food loss and waste prevention and reduction initiatives carried out by members of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste across Europe. As efforts continue to address challenges to food waste and food security linked to Covid-19, the joint March/April 2021 edition includes information on the publication of the first Food Waste Index report by UNEP, the launch of an ‘anti-food waste’ label in France, ‘SDG 12.3 loans’ to cut food waste and calls to the government to put food loss and waste prevention in the climate agenda in the Netherlands, new methods and guidance to monitor food losses, new partnerships, and many more. We wish you a pleasant reading!
