An EU comprehensive approach that prioritises sound mental health for all

Following the adoption of a new comprehensive approach to mental health on 7 June, the European Commission is organising a hybrid, World Mental Health Day Conference from 09:30 to 13:00 on Tuesday 10 October 2023 in Brussels (Concert Noble, 84, rue d'Arlon, 1040 Brussels) and online, which will be followed by a networking lunch.

The half-day event is hosted by Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, and will include keynote speeches from Her Majesty the Queen of the Belgians, Marc Angel, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Dr. Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, Jose Miñones, Spanish Minister of Health, Bertrand Bainvel, UNICEF Representative to the European Institutions, Dr. Péter Takács, Hungarian Minister of State for Health, Frank Vandenbroucke, Belgian Minister Social Affairs.

Join us and hundreds of representatives from the EU institutions, national governments, international organisations, mental health and patient organisations as we raise awareness, exchange information and experiences and share good practices on the following topics:

  • Promotion and prevention
  • Equal access for all
