EU Health Policy Platform Holds Annual Meeting

date:  23/02/2021

On 2-3 March, the EU Health Policy Platform will hold its annual meeting.

On 2 March, the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, will announce the winners of the 2020 EU Health Award. The 2020 EU Health Award honours cities and schools that have had a positive impact on their communities by promoting healthy lifestyles among children (6-18 years old), and recognises NGOs, schools and kindergartens that promote vaccination in children (0-18 years old).

As well as celebrating their achievements and commitment, the EU Health Award raises awareness of the vital role that these schools, kindergartens, NGOs and cities play in strengthening participative democracy and active citizenship in public health.

On 3 March, the meeting will be devoted to the 2020 Thematic Networks. Stakeholder organisations will present their Joint Statements in three different areas – training doctors for the digital society, colorectal cancer screening, and profiling and training health care workers of the future.
