The European Commission published a roadmap for the evaluation of the EU Strategy for the Protection and Welfare of Animals 2012-2015. This evaluation follows the recommendation made by the European Court of Auditors in its special audit report on animal welfare. The evaluation will assess if the EU Strategy delivered its initial objectives and if they are still relevant today. Citizens, experts and stakeholders are invited to give their feedback before 14th June 2019.
