With spring in full swing, knowledge valorisation is blossoming like the famous Japanese cherry trees of Brussels. After an inspiring session at the March European Research & Innovation Days, where we discussed the new Codes of Practice on industry-academia cooperation and citizen engagement, we’re now setting off for new adventures – hopefully with you!
The online Knowledge Valorisation Talks is a new format where we count on your ideas and participation. These conversations will serve as a forum for sharing best practices, to discuss common challenges and latest trends. Join us and submit your best practice regarding the three topics for the first Talks - more information is below in this newsletter.
I also invite you to participate in the Conference on industrial technologies (INDTec), organised by the Belgian Presidency of the Council, taking place from 3-5 June 2024 in beautiful Namur. The last conference day (5 June) will see the results of the Mutual Learning Exercise (MLE) on ‘Knowledge Valorisation – Focus on Skills, Intersectoral Cooperation and Incentive Systems’ presented and discussed – it’d be great to have you there and hear what you think. The final report of the MLE will soon be published on the EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform.
Finally, I would like to tell you about the valuable insights we’ve gained into industry demands for standards with the publishing of the European Standardisation Panel's first survey report. Loads of useful recommendations there about how to facilitate a more seamless integration of R&I into standardisation.
I hope you will enjoy reading this newsletter. Feel free to forward it to anyone who you suspect might be interested. We would be happy to receive suggestions and feedback on the newsletter at any time at RTD-VALORISATION-POLICIES-IPR@ec.europa.eu.
