The citadella in Gozo, one of the main tourist attractions on the island of Gozo in Malta, has been renovated thanks to European funds.

The works consisted of restoring most of the facades and historical buildings within the citadel. Piazzas and streets were repaved, making them more accessible.
The ancient, fortified city is a historic wonder hosting various gorgeous spots entwined with legends. The Citadella project was winner of the Regiostars competition in 2022.
