Seven new-funded projects showcased at the EU Farm to Fork conference
|
On 15 October, seven Horizon 2020-funded projects, managed by REA, were showcased at the Farm to Fork session dedicated to research. They are funded under the Horizon 2020 EU Green Deal call to tackle some of the food systems challenges as part of the EU Farm to Fork strategy.

This year, the workshop focused on Environmental Observations-based solutions to support the European Green Deal in the areas of agriculture, biodiversity, climate, disasters prevention, forests protection, and water management. The recordings and presentations are now published.

A REA project ‘wins’ one of the New European Bauhaus awards
|
An old cement factory transformed into ‘La Fábrika de toda la vida’, an inclusive & participatory cultural space in Badajoz, wins the New European Bauhaus Award. The winner is an Observatory Case supported by Horizon 2020 project Open Heritage, which is managed by REA.

Horizon 2020 project Hydrousa sums two prizes this year
|
The project Hydrousa has received the Prima WEFE Nexus award. The prize rewards research teams successfully implementing combined management practices of water, food, energy and ecosystems resources in the Mediterranean. Earlier this year, Hydrousa’s circular business models in water scarce areas received the Mediterranean Climate Change Adaptation Awards, in the category of ecosystems preservation & nature-based solutions.

Horizon 2020 project wins the UN Digital Excellence in Agriculture award
|
Organic Farm Knowledge is the winner of the UN Digital Excellence in Agriculture title, in category 2: Capacity development and empowerment. The Organic Farm knowledge is an online platform promoting knowledge exchange among organic farmers and advisor, offering scientifically validated and accessible agricultural knowledge.
