Angular, NHS and Improving Workflows

Use of the Angular technology is increasing, while progress continues to be made with the NHS project.

date:  29/06/2023

For those using the AssMal2 system, one of the main changes over the last year has been the switch from the FLEX technology to Angular, due to the end of life of FLEX. Angular, and previously FLEX, is the technology the AssMal2 modules are built on. This has been a progressive activity where the colleagues from PMO.6 and DIGIT have been working to implement this transition according to the needs of the PMO file handlers.

Change management has played a key role throughout this transition phase. Regular meetings have been taking place with the key colleagues from the JSIS units to ensure that each module has been analysed efficiently before, during, and after the move to Angular.

Now, the main goal now for the AssMal2 team is to ensure that all the missing details have been taken into account and to decide on the final closing dates for the transition of each module. With the key users, more than 6 closing dates have been decided between June and September.

In parallel, the National Healthcare System project continues in collaboration with the Belgian MyCareNet team. Read our previous article for more details about the goal of this project. The latest update shows that the team have worked to create a new affiliation module in JSIS Online that can be customized for any country to be involved in later phases of the project. During the month of May, a definitive workplan was drafted which sets out all the tasks that need to be worked on over the coming months. Additionally, this will lead to the first steering committee of the project between all the managers involved after the holiday period.

In terms of improvements, an ongoing activity has involved the implementation of a dedicated workflow that allows documents to be sent back to affiliates through JSIS Online without the need to refuse the documents and request them to be reuploaded again. This will help to improve the efficiency of the way in which contacts are made and maintained with the affiliates.
