On 26 June 2024, the 2024-2025 edition of the European Innovation Procurement Awards will be launched. 

The contest will award six prizes in total across the two prize categories: 
👉 The "Facing societal challenges" category focuses this year on rewarding innovation procurement initiatives that help Europe in the transition to a net zero economy. 
👉 The "Innovation procurement initiative" category is open to innovation procurement initiatives that tackled any other challenge (e.g. related to the NEB). 

Both prize categories are open to projects that took place in any sector. The contest is open to any public and private buyers, natural persons and those legal entities supporting these practices located in one of the EU Member States or Associated Countries to Horizon Europe.

An online info session was organised at the end of May. Recording of the session is available here (under "Guide for applicants") and includes tips from past winners, jury members and the questions and answers that can help applicants improve their application.
