The Urban Transitions Mission of Mission Innovation has launched a second call for expressions of interest to select 250 cities to receive support to test systemic and innovative approaches to accelerate their transition to net zero. This second call aims to expand the current cohort of 48 cities.

Cities from around the world, that are signatories to the Global Covenant of Mayors, with a population of at least 50,000 inhabitants and have a climate and energy plan in place, can apply for the call until 21 August 2023. The selected cities will be announced at COP28 in Dubai. More information about the call can be found here.
