Last week the University of Primorska, in collaboration with InnoRenew CoE, established NEB Academy Pioneer Hub for Sustainable Built Environments with Renewable Materials (NEBAP Hub).

The NEB Academy Pioneer Hubs are structures supporting the development of NEB Academy by those NEB Community members that take or took interest in the initiative and wish to invest further in NEB Academy in parallel with activities setting up the NEB Academy structure. Registering as NEB Pioneer Hub is a self-committing action that does not entail financial support on behalf of the EU budget and entails committing to support, through their pilot actions, the objectives and ambitions of the NEB Academy. The NEBAP Hub is focusing on sustainable built environments that are regenerative and inclusive spaces that minimise environmental impacts through decarbonisation and lead to positive societal and economic impacts, including health and wellbeing.

The hub will be: (1) offering online and in-person training activities for the construction ecosystem through the use of bio-based materials, digital technologies, and increased circularity to accelerate the decarbonisation of homes and buildings in Europe and beyond, (2) promoting green, digital, and inclusive transition within the construction ecosystem through the use of bio-based materials, (3) uniting pre-existing learning modules for the construction eco-system and (4) closely collaborating with the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Community.
